Solid Scents & Paw Butters

Solid? Solid Scent?...What's that? 

Solids use jojoba oil and vitamin E, mixed with shea butter and beeswax, then are hardened to create a liquid free prodcut that is easy to apply and travel with. It is placed in a 1 oz container that easily fits in a bag or purse. Solids are TSA friendly because of their lack o liquid Our solid scents are available in all of our in-house fragrances. Solids are also available on our pet line as Paw Butter. While Paw Butter is used to soften paws, protect from heat and eliminate foot (paw) odor, human Solids may also be used as a moisturizer for dry skin. Solids are often used as beard balm or an alternative method of scent application.

Solids should be protected from high heat. If they get too hot they will melt. Solids may not be shipped to very hot climates or during periods of extreme heat to protect products from arriving damaged.

We use only essential oils that are safe for dogs in these products. These are the essential oils used in our Paw Butters: lavender, cedarwood, bergamot, lemongrass, rosemary, cornmint, geranium, citronella, frankincense, chamomile, ginger, and myrrh. We use jojoba oil and vitamin E, mixed with shea butter, and beeswax. These ingredients are then hardened to create a liquid-free product that is easy to apply and safe for your dog.**

Fragrance oils vs Essential oils- while most of our scents come from essential oils, there are a few scents the list the ingredients are fragrance oils and essential oils. While we do our best to use essential oils only, there are a few scents that are not available  as essential oils (whiskey is an example of this). Essential oils are liquid plant extracts that may be used for aroma therapy, fragrances, or flavorings. They are pure in base because they are plant-derived and often extracted through pressing, heat, or steam distillation (1). fragrance oils are not always completely pure in origin. They are used to create fragrance, candles, soaps, etc (2).
