About Our Oils - Free Your Mind
Why beard oils? Because not everyone is clean-shaven. Not everyone wears make-up or spends a great deal of time on the hair atop of their head. Beards produce a different, yet similar, sense of pride. Not everyone can grow a nice, full beard. But if you are lucky enough to have hairy genes and choose to show the world you are proud of them - take care of your facial locks! Our oils are designed to help nourish your beard and the skin underneath. Regardless of the scent (or unscented), all of our oils are made with coconut oil or jojoba oil and infused with Vitamin E to help with nourishment, growth, and strength.
Why fragrance oils? Because not everyone has a beard. By making all of our fragrance oils multi-purpose, and free from gender categories it allows anyone to enjoy them. Whether you’re rolling on some scent for a date night, applying oil to dry skin, primping your beard for a day of hard work, or simply pampering yourself at home, there’s a scent for everyone. The story of our oils is simple. After losing 4 of the people closest to him, our founder needed a creative outlet to help him process his grief. Making our oils is a Zen-like process for our founder. Blending ingredients produces a peaceful harmony that is therapeutic. After gifting them to friends and family it was suggested that these oils become available online.
So, the journey began…
How to use the oils
Using a 2 oz dropper bottle:
- Give the bottle a shake (while it is still capped)
- Loosen the cap
- Squeeze the top
- Lift the dropper
- Dispense a small amount of product into your hands
- Rub hands together and apply to your skin or beard
Beard Application Pro Tip: For best results, spread evenly and use a beard brush or comb to aid in this process. Adjust the amount you use based on beard length and personal preference. Start slow, go low – try dispensing a half to full dime-sized amount at first. Add more if needed/wanted. (Most full beards take around a nickel to quarter-sized amount.) Your beard will feel softer and look healthier with regular use as part of your grooming routine. Coarser beards generally become softer with regular use. Growth often increases/speeds up as well. Our oils may be used daily, if desired.
Skin Application Pro Tip: For best results apply to pulse points (neck, wrist, etc.) for strongest release of scent. Also rubbing the oil into your skin will help it dry and absorb faster. Whether you are using a coconut oil or a jojoba oil based product, our oils are great moisturizers. We have also learned that they effectively help to remove adhesive residue on the skin from medical tape, bandages, etc. without drying the skin out as many other products do. The easiest way to conduct this application is to apply a small amount of oil to the area, let it sit briefly. Rub with a textured paper towel or napkin. Residue will come off. Some adhesives require an additional application.
How to apply oils using a 10 ml roller:
- Shake roller
- Uncap roller
- Apply to desired area
Our 2 oz bottles may be used as refills for 10 ml rollers!
How to refill a 10 ml roller:
- Uncap roller
- Carefully pry and twist the rollerball top off the roller tube.
- Be careful not to tip the tube as any remaining oil will spill!
- Once rollerball top is off, take 2 oz bottle, while capped, shake bottle well
- Open top
- Squeeze dropper
- Fill roller tube using dropper
- Once tube is filled, close 2 oz bottle
- Reapply rollerball top by pushing it onto tube – you should feel it snap into place
- There should not be a gap between top and tube.
- Recap roller
- Use and enjoy – over and over again!
Our Lineup
The “OG” Blend – (9/20/2022) The Original beard oil that started it all. This oil is infused with mint, cocoa, basil, tea tree and patchouli. This oil has been described as “dessert meets a total hottie.” (You could be that hottie!)
Fresh Air – (12/2/2022) This oil is infused with mint, cardamon, cedar blossoms, sweet tobacco and has the smell of fresh grass after the rain. This oil has been described as “the Fresh Air you could smell on a walk after a rainstorm.”
The Signature Blend – (1/1/2023) Our Signature Blend is infused with frankincense, sweet tobacco, cardamon, cedar blossoms. This oil smells like rain, grass and has a slight rustic, woodsy smell. Signature was created in between Fresh Air and Woodsman and has elements of both scents in it.
Woodsman – (3/2/2023) Get out the flannel! This beard oil is infused with oregano, sweet tobacco, vanilla, teakwood, cedar, and cinnamon. You know that ripped hottie in movies that lives in a cabin? Everyone either wants them or they want to be them. Well, we bet they smell like this!
Tea with Albert – (3/9/2023) Tea with Albert is infused with sweet tobacco, cinnamon, thyme, orange, and clove. This oil has been described as “smoking a pipe meets having a cup of tea.” Expand your mind… let those creative ideas flow!
Put Me in, Coach! – (5/20/2023) This scent is inspired by “America’s favorite pastime” – Baseball! Put Me In, Coach! starts with our standard bases then we add in some baseball magic by mixing in some familiar smells: dirt, leather, popcorn, grass and rain with a touch of frankincense. One of our testers told us it reminded them of standing in the outfield smelling their glove waiting for a pop fly!
The Spirit of Stonewall – (5/25/2023) This fragrance began as a Limited Edition release available during pride season. In this oil we sprinkle in some scents of Stonewall nostalgia: Whiskey, Tobacco, and some clean smells (pine, grass, old school barbershop smells, and frankincense). Imagine being in this legendary bar as the world is about to change… You look perfect and you smell great!
As an LGBTQIA+ owned business we celebrate PRIDE during the month of June. At its initial release this oil was created to commemorate a huge turning point in our history – Stonewall! In case you are not familiar with the Stonewall Riots or the Stonewall Uprising, it was a series of confrontations in which members of the LGBTQIA+ community and activists fought back against police bar raids, discrimination and brutality in New York City on June 28, 1969.
Fave Shirt and Warm Sun – (6/27/2023) this fragrance combines the essential oils of vanilla, sandalwood, jasmine, myrrh, gardenia and cinnamon together to create the scent experience initially described as wearing your favorite shirt in the warm sun.
Mmm… yes please!… – (6/27/2023) Take this title to be whatever you wish it to be… just say “yes” to the fragrance combination of leather, cardamom, cedar blossoms, lavender, tobacco, ginger and rose essential oils.
Smokey Eyes at the End of the Bar – (7/4/2023) this fragrance is a blend of vanilla,tobacco, orange and whiskey essential/fragrance oils. While creating this oil the image of a beautiful stranger with smokey eyes at the end of a bar came into our founder’s mind and here they are…
Open Mic Night at the Coffeehouse – (7/4/2023) Although coffee is the fragrance most associated with a coffeehouse, it is not the only one! This fragrance oil helps remind you of the additional beverages prepared there (hot cocoa, chai, tea, etc) by combining the essential oils of coffee, cinnamon, cocoa, chamomile, bergamot and clove.
Cabana Dreams – (7/15/2023) This scent is inspired by hot, relaxing days by the pool or ocean. Infused with coconut, teakwood and sandalwood fragrance oils, one of our testers for this fragrance said they were reminded of beautiful tans, an ocean breeze and having a great afternoon relaxing on the beach. Let this fragrance take you on a mental vacation filled with relaxation and enjoyable moments!
Summer Breeze – (8/11/2023) This scent is light and airy and is infused with sandalwood, coconut and vanilla fragrance oils. It reminds many who have tried it of summer days in the warm sun and light breezes tickling their toes and blowing through their hair. Come have a carefree day while invigorating your senses with this fragrance.
Antique Shop – (8/13/2023) Infused with teakwood, vanilla and patchouli essential oils, this fragrance will help you get lost in old memories and warm rustic overtones of wood and nostalgia.
Sigmund – (8/13/2023) Relax and feel your psyche ignite with our blend of sweet tobacco, myrrh, vetiver, frankincense and leather. Freud would be so proud of your ability to let yourself feel free!
Smart = Sexy – (8/13/2023) This complex scent is composed of sandalwood, tea tree, cedarwood, jasmine and eucalyptus essential oils and has warm rustic woods fragrance oil trickled in. Feel smart, sexy, confident and alluring with this new fragrance while turning heads.
Custom – Custom fragrance oil is exactly what it says. We start with our Bare oil and infuse scents of your choice to create what you want it to be. If you are interested in this option, please send us an email as prices vary depending on scent combinations.
Solid Scents
hardened to create a liquid free product that is easy to apply and travel with. It is placed in a 1 oz container that easily fits in a bag or purse. Solids are TSA friendly because of their lack of liquid. Our solid scents are available in all of our in-house fragrances.The only scent not produced in a solid regularly, at this time is Bare as it is unscented. However, upon request, this could be arranged. Solids are also available on our pet line as Paw Butter. While Paw Butter is used to soften paws, protect from heat and eliminate foot (paw) odor, human Solids may also be used as a moisturizer for dry skin. Solids are often used as beard balm or an alternative method of scent application.
Solids should be protected from high heat. If they get too hot they will melt. Solids may not be shipped to very hot climates or during periods of extreme heat to protect products from arriving damaged.
