Fragrance oils vs Essential oils -

While most of our scents come from essential oils, there are a few scents that list the ingredients as fragrance oils and essential oils. We do our best to use essential oils only, however there are a few scents that are not available as essential oils (whiskey is an example of this). Essential oils are liquid plant extracts that may be used for aroma therapy, fragrances or flavorings. They are pure in base because they are plant-derived and often extracted through pressing, heat, or steam distillation (1). Fragrance oils are not always completely pure in origin. They are used to create fragrance, candles, soaps, etc (2).
